By using Squiggle you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Squiggle, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users, including guests and registered accounts.
2. Who can use Squiggle
Squiggle is available to anyone aged 13 or older. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should review these terms with a parent or guardian.
3. Permitted use
Squiggle is a personal productivity app. You may use it to create, manage, and share lists for lawful personal or professional purposes. You agree NOT to: • Use the app for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose • Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or abuse AI usage quotas • Use AI features to generate harmful, abusive, illegal, or misleading content • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the app or its backend services • Use automated tools to make excessive requests to our servers • Impersonate another person or entity
4. Accounts
Creating an account is optional — you can use Squiggle as a guest without signing up. If you create an account: • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure • You must provide accurate information • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access • One person may hold one account; creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits is not permitted We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.
5. AI-generated content
Squiggle offers AI-powered features (Magic Add, Smart Sort, Ask AI) that generate content based on your input. This content is provided for convenience only. • We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content • Always verify AI-generated lists before relying on them (especially for health, medical, or safety-critical purposes) • We are not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated content • Content that is clearly harmful, illegal, or abusive will result in account suspension
6. Free-tier limits & fair use
Squiggle is free for everyone. To keep the service running sustainably: • AI features (Magic Add, Smart Sort, Ask AI) are subject to a generous daily quota for all users. Quotas reset every 24 hours. • Guest users can store lists locally on their device. • Signed-in users can sync up to 50 lists to the cloud. Lists beyond that cap are stored on-device only. • These limits may be adjusted over time. We will not reduce limits significantly without reasonable notice. Pro users (where available) may have higher or unlimited quotas.
7. Advertising
Squiggle displays ads served by Google AdMob to keep the app free. On iOS, we request permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before accessing your advertising ID. You may decline this permission at any time, in which case only non-personalized ads will be shown. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how AdMob uses your data.
8. Intellectual property
Squiggle, its name, logo, design, and codebase are the intellectual property of Khaled Abbes. All rights reserved. Your list data belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of any content you create in the app. By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited licence to store and transmit your content solely to provide the service.
9. Availability & uptime
Squiggle currently runs on free-tier cloud infrastructure. We do not guarantee continuous availability of sync, push notifications, or AI features. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime but are not liable for service interruptions or data loss caused by third-party infrastructure failures.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not liable for: • Loss of data • Loss of productivity or business opportunity • Inaccurate AI-generated content • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. For significant changes, we will attempt to provide notice via the app.
12. Termination
You may stop using Squiggle at any time. You can delete your account from My Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
